Editor-I feel that it is time to give credit where it is due. For the past two years, I have been a Laney student and during my time here, I've come to meet some of the most caring students and staff that a new-comer could ever ask for. I have also eaten some delicious cafeteria food-much better than my home cooking as of late.
I truly feel priveledged to attend a college where student leadership opportunities are present and there are numerous avenues by which to create change.
I admire the persistence of fellow leaders, both low-profile and highly titled, who fight the good fight daily and strive to be an example for future generations to learn from and use for the betterment of our community.
Keep up the inspiring work and thank you for making the world a better place.

Editor-Dating is about separating the candy from the crap, as you pointed out in your article. ('The problem with dating,' Naz Khan, April 10)
Therefore it should be done as often as possible!
Dating can provide something for you to look forward to because the anticipation is often far more intriguing than the date itself, and if you find yourself in the opposite circumstance you've got what you want.
Furthermore you can't find "true love" (something women tend to believe quite religously in due to cultural stereotypes and depictions of marriage and dating on TV) without going out and searching for it. It's not going to come to you. Keep on dating, Carpe Diem!

Editor-I would first like to thank Ms. Khan for writing such a thoughtful letter and secondly expand on her comments briefly.
There are so many supportive people at Laney who have helped my own personal and professional development and often they don't have grandiose titles or positions. (Continued…)
