First game, first win for water polo

It was the new vs. the new at the Sacramento City College water polo tournament on Sept. 9. Laney College, with only one returning player, defeated host Sac City's almost brand new team 12-8 as returner Lukwana North and newcomers Ying Yuan and Kayla Banash each scored three goals in the victory over the Panthers.

This year, Laney's volleyball team has some experience to play with

This season Laney women's volleyball coach Heather Sisneros welcomes a 400 percent increase in experience with her 2006 team. Last season, the 0-15 Eagles had two players with substantial volleyball experience; this season the number is eight on the 13-player team.
