Election or selection?

Reginald James didn't vote in the Associated Students of Laney College (ASLC) or Student Trustee elections May 6-7. I joined the 11,800 or more Laney students who didn't participate, but I think my case was unique. Since I turned 18-years-old in 2000, I have voted in every election I was eligible.

Last week I was hanging out with one of my dearest friends when she suggested that we go and get our eyebrows waxed. Those of you who have seen me may have realized that I have never had my eyebrows waxed, which is an astute observation on your part. I decided to go for it.

Editor-I feel that it is time to give credit where it is due. For the past two years, I have been a Laney student and during my time here, I've come to meet some of the most caring students and staff that a new-comer could ever ask for. I have also eaten some delicious cafeteria food-much better than my home cooking as of late.
