There was a lot of hype surrounding this movie, and most of it was from the massive fanbase surrounding it. That being said, I walked into the movie without having read the book, and not really knowing much besides some Edward guy is a vampire.
The general gist of Twilight is a girl named Isabella Swan (Kirsten Stewart), who just INSISTS on being called "Bella," ends up having to move from Phoenix to live with her dad who's in a small forest town of Forks, Washington.

Vampires, blood, murder, sex, love, violence, and the Deep South. This might not sound like a hit show on HBO, but think again. "True Blood" is the newest show to cause a stir on HBO. It isn't Buffy the Vampire, it's a more unique, and refreshing take on the latest gothic craze: vampires.

I've watched a lot of bad Kung-Fu movies since I was young. There is just something undeniably satisfying about watching one grown man punch another in the genitals that some people just don't understand. An interesting thing about the older kung fu movies with actors like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan is how timeless they are.

With the release of the singles "Love Lockdown" and "Heartless" by Kanye West, there were high expectations and much excitement for his new album, 808's and Heartbreak. Unfortunately, these singles were the only ones to live up to the expectations. Once listening to the album in its entirety, I must say it disappointed.

Should there be one criticism of director Gus Van Sant's new movie, "Milk," it would be that it should have been released prior to the voting on Proposition 8.
"Milk" is a biopic on Harvey Milk, the first openly gay person to be elected to major office in the U.

After 17 years, the wait is finally over.
On Nov. 23, "Chinese Democracy," arguably one of the most highly anticipated records of all time, was finally released across America.
Although it is a huge departure from the Guns N' Roses that we once knew and loved, "Chinese Democracy" is a decent rock record.

The much-anticipated "Twilight" soundtrack is the perfect companion you are seeking to play in the background while you read the well-known Stephenie Meyer series.
Let's get the bias out of the way: I am a "Twilight" fan, but not one of those teenage girls who waited in line at midnight to get the book.
